Abstract

This study is an associative hypothesis testing using quantitative techniques using secondary data in 2008 that aimed to determine the effect of the liquidity ratio as measured by the current ratio ( CR ) and profitability as measured by ROA to payback investors as measured by EPS in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange ( IDX ) in 2007 -2008 either partial or simultaneously . The findings of this study indicate that liquidity and profitability ratios simltan have a significant effect on the return of investors' capital , while the liquidity ratio of the partial and did not have a significant positive effect on return on investor capital , but partially profitability ratios have positive and significant impact on return on capital investors . This study can be used as a donation to the users of financial statements relating to liquidity and profitability ratios in predicting the return of investor capital in the future and add to the literature on fundamental aspects related to the usefulness of the financial statements , as well as consideration for investors and prospective investors in making decisions to buy and sell shares , in addition to knowledge for further research on the factors that affect the return on investors' capital in the company going public , thus increasing caution investors or prospective investors in making the decision to buy or sell investment portfolio in the stock market , and also the findings of this research study can complement existing financial accounting so that it can add a useful reference for researchers who would come .
